J. Scappettone is Jenifer, or Jen. She is a recognized scholar and author, poet and artist with a long list of books and publishings. Presently she is working as an intrructor at University of Chicago while also collaborating on a contemporary opera with a performing artist. I was commissioned to do a two day shoot with her in Chicago a few days ago. More photos on the way. This one is a personal fave.

Had a most excellent home shoot with sound artist Lori Talley, in Chicago the other morning. This is a sneak preview of more to come.

Juxtapoz Magazine
Melissa and James Buchannan, two phenominal screen printers and designers are featured in Juxtapoz Magazine this month (August).

This portrait is one taken for the book that goes along with the documentary called Handmade Nation.

I loved working with these two and just have so much respect for their work that I'm eternally flattered to have been asked to make these photos with them.

I based the content on their personal character design style, and it is shot at their home using one large soft box bounced off of the wall.
